A MUST-HAVE EXPERIENCE YOU WON'T WANT TO MISS.

Graduation photos are for kids graduating from Middle school, high school and college. People book as early as the end of the year before and as late as the fall after graduation. Depends on how you plan on using your photos. Some consider how quickly our kids change and they want the photos taken within the months of graduation. Some want them early enough to use in announcements and have on hand for submissions to awards and scholarships. Some have waited until after things have settled down or regret not getting them and take them in the months after graduation.
We recommend booking as soon as you know your availability, especially during busy seasons (spring and fall). This gives you time to plan outfits, locations, and get on the calendar before spots fill up. Additionally, it is much easier to reschedule an existing session than squeeze in a new one.
Pick outfits that make you feel your best, whether its a new outfit or your favorite band t-shirt that you practically live in. Solid colors, layers, and varied textures work great. Feel free to bring 2–3 outfit options except with the Social session which does not include an outfit change. Consider casual, dressy or professional, and something that represents your personality. Bringing more than 3 options usually detracts from the main focus of your session, you, and it becomes more about your clothes.
We can shoot at a location of your choice as long as it is within 10 miles of Batavia. There are lots of beautiful parks and places in our downtowns that work great for photo sessions. We can also use places that mean something to you like the stadium, your church, even your home or I can recommend some great local places based on your style. You can also choose an additional location to add to your session or a location outside of the 10 mile radius for an extra charge.
You are not alone. We will discuss your vibe beforehand and I will guide you through relaxed poses, give prompts to bring out natural expressions, and keep the session easy and fun. I don’t use a one-size-fits-all posing guide because everyone moves differently. Instead, I observe how you naturally carry yourself and make adjustments to highlight your best angles.
Pet? Instrument? Hockey gear? Cosplay sword? Favorite book? Well, yeah! Anything meaningful to you can make your photos more personal and fun. Much like too many outfits though, too many "things" distract from you. Also, I ask if you bring a pet that you bring a person to handle the pet during your session.
Plan on at least 30-45 minutes and add more time for additional outfits and locations. I like to keep things moving to get a verity of shots in the best light but also enjoy a relaxed pace.
Yes, bring whoever makes you feel relaxed, confident and can help bring out your smiles!
