About the Role
Seeking a creative and personable individual to join our photography team as a Photography Assistant. The Photography Assistant will be responsible for providing support to the lead photographer in all aspects of photo shoots, including preparation, set-up, equipment handling, lighting, and post-production. The photography assistant will also have opportunities to shoot.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
Assist the lead photographer in all aspects of the photo shoot, including preparation, set-up, and equipment handling
Help with lighting, positioning, and other technical aspects of the shoot
Second-shoot and relieve lead photographer when needed
Manage equipment and maintain an inventory of all photography gear
Occassional on-site editing and retouching of images
Assist with social media posting and other marketing activities
Perform other duties as assigned by the lead photographer
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; some experience in photography or related field preferred
Working understanding of photography techniques, including lighting, composition, and camera settings
Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom. CaptureOne experience is a plus.
Experience working with photography equipment, including cameras, lenses, and lighting
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Compensation:
Hourly rate with bonus opportunities
*Use of studio during off-hours
